Vector Rechargeable Power Center Review

A quick review of the feature packed ac / dc power pack from vector (parent company black & decker).The power center features a 19 amp hour deep cycle agm battery, good enough to run small ac appliances for up to 5 hours. It also can run items such as dc auto fans and lights for well over 24 hours before the internal battery is depleted. The way this devices outputs power is via the two grounded ac outlets, connected to a 400 watt power inverter. Dc power (12 volt and usb) is available via a single car cigarette lighter adapter and a single 5 volt standard female usb port. The device also features an emergency multi-band radio, which supplies typical am, fm stations for entertainment and a NOAA weather radio for emergencies and natural / man made disasters. Even though the powercenter features these powerful devices, the most innovative features has to be the emergency flashlight. This special light doesn't require it be connected to the unit at all times and is rechargeable no matter if there is power or not. The flashlight is a 3 led hand crank flashlight, which is easily stored away on the side of the unit until it is needed. The nice thing is that a user no longer has to wear themselves out, trying to use a 20 + pound unit as a flashlight, saving time and effort.
